On Wednesday, Tan got his mission call! He's going to Rostov-na-Donu, Russia. Congrats Tan! We're excited for you and proud to have you as our little brother. You'll be an outstanding missionary--out sharing the gospel with the good people of Russia.
Tan's buddy recorded Tanner opening the call on our video camera--I just don't know how to upload the video yet. But, when I do...I'll post it. He sure is excited to get out into the field!

Congratulations Tan! It was fun to share that moment with you over the phone. We're excited for you. We got out our big map of the world and put it in Carter's room so the kids can learn where Russia is. OK - it just occured to me that this is Carrie's blog and I'm addressing my comments to Tanner. Oh well - maybe he'll read this :).

Thanks for the photos. "Not being there" is hard on a mom. It's nice to have photos to go with the phone experience.
